Direct excision submentoplasty may be the answer. This involves directly cutting out the loose skin and fat through an incision on the front of the neck without additional surgery on other parts of the face. The final incision line is difficult to see once fully healed. This shorter procedure is done under general anesthesia as an outpatient and can provide excellent results for the right patient.
