Laser Treatments/ Blepharoplasty/ Chin Implants
An in-office therapy for treating facial blood vessels and hyperpigmentation, the DioLite laser employs intense light energy. This light is focused on the damaged blood vessels or areas of skin with an abundance of melanin in order to eliminate them, leaving all surrounding tissue unscathed.
The procedure is typically performed using a topical anesthesia. There may be some redness and swelling in the treatment area following the procedure, but they usually disappear within two days. The results of DioLite treatment will be fully noticeable within two weeks when treating blood vessels and within three weeks when treating hyperpigmentation.
Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
By removing excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids, blepharoplasty can rejuvenate puffy, sagging or tired-looking eyes. It is typically a cosmetic procedure but can also improve vision by lifting droopy eyelids.
The procedure is usually performed in-office with local anesthesia and lasts 45 minutes to a few hours. Incisions are made along the eyelids in inconspicuous places (in the creases of the upper lids, and just below the lashes on the lower lids). The surgeon removes excess tissue through these incisions and then stitches them closed with fine sutures. If no skin needs to be removed, the surgeon will perform a transconjunctival blepharoplasty, where the incision is made inside the eyelid and there are no visible scars.
A facelift is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures available, designed to treat wrinkles, sagging and skin laxity for a younger, more refreshed appearance. This procedure targets the mid- to lower face, including the cheeks, mouth, chin and neck.
During the facelift procedure, an incision is made around the ear, sometimes extending into the scalp. There are several different techniques that may be used depending on each patient’s facial structure and goals, but most include sculpting, lifting and repositioning the underlying fat, muscle and tissues, while also trimming and redraping the skin for dramatic yet natural-looking results.
In most cases, a facelift is performed under general anesthesia, but may be performed under a local anesthetic and sedation. The entire procedure usually takes two to four hours to perform on an outpatient basis.
The neck may sag as a result of aging or weight loss, and is often affected before the face. Loose neck muscles can lead to an appearance of bands on the neck or drastic drooping of the skin. A neck lift is a surgical procedure that can smooth and tighten the skin on the neck and provide a more toned and youthful appearance.
A neck lift procedure removes excess skin and alters muscles in the neck. Liposuction can also be used to remove excess fat during a neck lift. This takes two to three hours and may be performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. Most procedures are performed within an outpatient basis.
A browlift, also known as a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure performed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and furrows in the forehead. When performed using endoscopic techniques, a browlift produces noticeable results through a minimally invasive procedure.
An endoscopic browlift is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. Several small incisions are made within the scalp, into which an endoscope and tiny surgical instruments are inserted. The skin in the forehead area is lifted, while excess fat, muscle and skin are removed. Your doctor may use temporary screws or sutures to hold the skin and muscle in place during the healing process.
After the incisions are closed, the head is wrapped with a bandage. Any stitches or staples can be removed within a week, while screws are removed after two weeks. The entire procedure takes one to two hours to perform, with patients able to return home the same day.
Chin implants provide balance to the facial features and improve the profile. By placing a biocompatible implant in the lower jaw, patients can create a stronger chin and even lengthen the entire face. The chin implant procedure is ideal for patients with a weak chin and/or prominent nose.
The chin implant procedure takes less than an hour to perform and can be done under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. During the procedure, an incision is made inside the mouth to eliminate visible scarring. A pocket is created where the implant is positioned in front of the jawbone and secured with sutures. Patients can return home the same day.
